Sarah Petrella was born and raised in Encinitas, California, with a love for music that began at the early age of six. Her involvements in musicals began a devotion that would lead to exploring her own creativity through songwriting. Winning the CMA competition for Best Vocal Group, while performing with the country band “Most Wanted” at thirteen years old, was an early indication that this was the path for Petrella. It was in Nashville where Petrella began working on her first professional recording projects with famed songwriter, Don Goodman, at the age of sixteen.

Sarah’s music breaks the barriers of being genre-specific, and one can hear elements of folk, rock, blues, and country in her tunes, with her main influences ranging from Patsy Cline, Patty Griffin, and Bonnie Raitt. Petrella has recently graced the stages of the LA music scene at prestigious venues such as the Hotel Cafe, House of Blues, Room 5, Bar Lubitsch and many more.

Petrella's new single "Room For Love" is set to release July, 2017. The first single off her second EP with producer and musician Dan Kalisher of Echo Underground Studios. Her sophomore EP is in the works and will be released later this year.

Petrella hopes that her music, derived from her life experiences and relationships, will connect with people on a deep and personal level. Her goal is that when her fans hear her music, they will know and feel what she was thinking at the time, a feeling she has shared with some of her own artistic idols.
